A Canadian by birth, Steve fell into publishing after completing his DPhil at Oxford University. He eventually relocated to Boston Massachusetts, on behalf of Blackwell Publishing to launch their US program. Steve was Editorial Director from 2001 to 2007, during a period of tremendous growth. After the merger with Wiley, he oversaw a successful team of up to 28 publishers based in Boston, MA and Oxford, UK. Steve then made the leap into Wiley's nascent Open Access program, launching their first OA journals and ground-breaking transformative agreements. After Wiley, Steve enjoyed three years at the American Psychological Association, and most recently was Head of US Publishing at the borne-OA publisher, Frontiers Media. He is now excited to be overseeing AIP Publishing's new Journal Expansion program, and he enjoys connecting with colleagues across the entire publishing industry, and spending time with his family.
